Week One is Done!

A short week to start the new school year, but a nice ease into the routine of planning, teaching and early mornings.

Three of my classes I have taught most of the students before, and the other classes I already know at least half their names. This meant that we could get straight into the learning for this term.

The BIG learning curve are the two new courses I am teaching this year: AS and A2 Geography. I am super excited about the step up, but also a little nervous on the depth of understanding to teach these topics well.

You see, the other geographer and I are sharing these classes. She has a human geography background. Mine is more physical geography. It is awesome! We both get to teach the parts of geography that we love!

We can also sneak into the back of the class sometimes and see what each other are teaching, which is good for professional development.

Speaking of which, I am doing some more of that for these very classes! Excited to get into it in a couple of weeks!
