Right now, dozens of Ethiopian Orthodox churches are on the move.

Tomorrow is the celebration of Timket, to remember the baptism of Jesus. The day before, the people and priests move to central locations, to baptise people early on Timket morning. Afterwards, they all walk back again to their churches!

Last year I went out to watch the procession, but this year I have chosen not to. But here are some pictures for you!
